Jag antar att alla kan engelska i den här gruppen, så jag tar kommentarerna till de 2 första uppgifterna rakt från min engelska blog:

Första uppgiften (video om web 2.0)

To be honest that video didn't really wake any feelings in me. I'm not a very social person, and I really don't use my endless possibilities that the web 2.o gives me. I can sometimes comment on something or have use of the information on gamefaqs, and like everyone else, I also use wikipedia, but I'm not really into these things. Since the video left me so numb, I really don't have much more to say.

Andra uppgiften (två artiklar om samma ämne)

I started using the Internet quite late compared to most of of my age, and since I don't use it that much yet either, I found O'Reilly's article quite hard to read. Also, many of the companies he mentioned were unfamiliar, and many of those I did know about were those we had learned during the lecture. Some of the companies mentioned might also have become quite forgotten, if they were already going out of fashion in 2005, they are likely to be quite unpopular these days. It was also fun to note how YouTube wasn't mentioned in an article about web 2.0. The newer article listed that site of course.

The articles really help one understand how important the social media is in the modern world, even if some of us don't use these functions that much. It really makes the work we are going to do in the end of the course look more pointful. Even though I am sure many companies have already caught on, there is probably a ton of them that could still use some evolution.

As a relatively new user of the Internet I am starting to wonder if it is pointful to call it web 2.0. Since the web is quite mixed between version one and two, and many of the functions of web 2.0 are self evident to the modern crowd, with many like me never even experiencing the old stiff version, is there any point to having this name anymore? If all cars in future are hovercars that drive in the air, I'd just call them cars, not hovercars or car 2.0s.
